Janissary is free to use under the PolyForm Noncommercial License for any noncommercial purpose — personal use, research, education, hobby projects, nonprofits, and government institutions.

Any commercial use requires a commercial license. This includes using Janissary in a commercial setting for your own software development — not just embedding it in a product or offering it as a hosted service. If your organization uses Janissary as part of its business, a commercial license is required.
